Iris Medina-Elston, MPA, MBA, JD (in progress) — Founder of Next8™ & Carter Wade
I’ve spent over a decade in operations and strategy, helping businesses become more efficient by implementing systems, processes, and leadership frameworks that drive measurable results. I’ve coached and led teams, built thriving brands, and launched a investor-backed business.
So when I teach about structure, performance, OKRs, and growth, I have real skin in the game.
Business is truly my love language. But beyond strategy and systems, I’m passionate about helping women — especially working moms — create balance, clarity, and purpose in their lives.
In 2020, as the world was navigating the uncertainty of COVID, I officially launched my coaching business. What began as a way to help a few women find focus during chaos quickly became something much bigger.
Since then, I’ve helped countless women accomplish more in eight weeks than most achieve in an entire year — and for many, in their entire lives — all without burnout.
Earlier this year, I made the decision to go all in on my coaching business. I refined my framework, my systems, and my purpose — and my mission is clear: to help women build lives that feel as good on the inside as they look on the outside. To stop surviving and start leading their lives with intention, strategy, and grace.
It wasn’t always this way. It took me over ten years to earn my bachelor’s degree — and I graduated with an embarrassing 2.7 GPA. But once I gained clarity and direction, everything changed. I earned my first master’s degree with a 3.9 GPA and then went on to complete my MBA at Georgia Tech with a 3.7, all while working full-time, raising my son, and building multiple ventures.
Today, I’m a present and intentional mom and wife, balancing family, business, and continued education as I pursue my law degree (JD) part-time.
People often ask how I manage it all. The truth is, it’s not about doing more; it’s about having systems, routines, and clarity around what truly matters.
